SNOW DAY

The nearly 12 inches of snow that fell in central Indiana overnight meant an extremely sore back for Dean after shoveling/snow blowing not only our driveway, but 2 of our neighbors sweet guy, but it meant a FUN day for the boys and I. We watched the Chaplins kiddos for a couple of hours in the morning while Angela went to work (only to find out that it was closed and turn around and trek back). We were all excited to get out and play in the snow. I was anxious to see how Joey would enjoy his first snow play. I have to say, he was not impressed! I was a bit surprised as Joey usually greets all new experiences with enthusiasm and gusto. Not so much the snow. He loves the snow from afar. He has loved looking out his bedroom window in the morning, laughing, pointing, and clapping when he sees snow on the ground, or even better, falling from the sky. Once he was in direct contact with the cold stuff, however, his enthusiasm was dampened. He tried to enjoy himself, but it just wasn't working for him!
Ben, however, loved the snow (until he got hit in the face with a snowball). We played outside with Kirin and Amber and our neighbors, Hannah and Mason. After a bit we retreated inside for some hot chocolate. Ben and I went back outside later in the afternoon while Joe was napping for round two of fun in the snow!

Love the progress report - you have such great boys, and you do such a fantastic job being their Mom. I've said it before, but I hope I'm doing half as good a job as you are, and I'll be happy. And I'm jealous of the snow (kind of).
Love you - C
