Today is my parent's 34th wedding anniversary. Last night I asked Ben to sign their card and tried to explain to him that an anniversary was to celebrate the day you were married. Here is the conversation that followed: Ben: "How long have we been married?" Melanie: "WE are not married. Daddy and I have been married almost 7 years." Ben: "When will I get married?" Melanie: "When you are an adult. If you want to get married and you are in love, you will ask a girl to spend the rest of her life with you and you will get married." Ben: "Well I'm not doing that, no way no how." Melanie: "Why not?!" Ben: "Because. If I get married then she'll want to kiss me and I HATE kisses! Dissssssgusting" Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!
