A Week Apart

Our family survived our first (and hopefully last) week "apart!" Dean traveled to Taiwan and China last Monday through Sunday and though we missed him terribly, I have to say the week flew by and I got by just fine....with a little help from my friends of course! That amazing husband of mine flew in Cherrylynn and Cadalyn from Texas to spend the majority of the week with us and provide hours of entertainment. We had an absolute blast. We visited Monkey Joes (a fabulous indoor bounce house place), the Children's Museum, Chick-Fil-A, carved pumpkins at Nana Nancy's (Ethan's mom) house and even got a babysitter one night so Cherrylynn and I could go out with Angela to help celebrate her birthday. It was an exhausting, but fabulous visit.
Dean had the camera with him in China so I only have one picture to document the visit. This was taken of CJ and Joe their last morning together. Joey is absolutely in love with CJ (or SUE J) as he calls her! CJ is a bit overwhelmed by Joey I think; she likes the idea of him and really enjoys him in small doses. Miss Cadalyn Jane, however, is a big, big fan of Ben. The three kiddos got along really well. Both of the boys miss Cherrylynn and CJ like crazy and Joey asks for SUE J at least once every hour. "A SUE J go? Downstairs? Sleeping?" He really misses her.
I sincerely appreciate CL and CJ making the trip to keep us company (and also having to leave their poor daddy behind). We love them and look forward to many visits to come.
