Community Day Trip

The boys and I made our annual trip to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for Community Day on Wednesday. Uncle Craig joined us and though the weather was almost unbearably hot we had a wonderful time. Highlights included:

• The Bounce House (where Joey got headbutted and left in tears but rallied and got back in later) and the Obstacle Course (where surely Joe had to have been the youngest kid EVER to brave this challenge and make it to the end.)

• Cheering Benny on as he smoked the competition in the mini-kart race track. He promised a victory and he delivered!

• The Hot Wheels Racetrack. Both boys loved choosing hot wheels cars to race down the ramp, cheering like mad, and then grabbing their cars and sprinting back to the starting gate over and over again.

• A Firehawk sighting!! Joey was so excited to see the firehawk and, as always, a bit confused as well!
• Popsicles at the Track and a pittstop at McDonalds on the way home for ice cream cones!
