Holy Cow!

So my oldest son's athletic exploits continued on Saturday as we all watched in wonder while the Rockstars took on the Sharks in a very one-sided battle. The Sharks took quite a beating as the Rockstars beat them 20-5 (according to Ben's internal score sheet) with Benjamin Michael scoring 12 of the Rockstars goals. Twelve. I am not exagerating. Who does that? He also had several assists and was an overall stud on the field. It was actually kind of embarassing and by the end of the game I was actually cheering more loudly for the other team when they would do something well then when my own kid scored.
Ben was very proud of himself, as were his many fans! Following the game we went to check out Kirin's softball game and then headed home for a few hours before going downtown to watch the Indiana Fever (WNBA) game. Joey had not been to a Pacers or Fever game since he was a baby and he was SUCH a good boy. He had a blast and was in awe of all the entertainment (way to go daddy). His favorite part, hands down, was when Freddy Fever (the mascot) came to visit him in the seats and Joey gave him a high-five and squeezed his nose! I don't have any pictures. As you can imagine, I had my hands full with Joe Bug, who was busy not only watching the game but adding members to his fan club as he flirted and played with the row of ladies behind us.
I was really proud of both boys and I see many Fever games in our future this summer so pictures are sure to be posted at a later date.
