Friends Forever

We are blessed, as a family, to have several close friendships that we treasure. We are further blessed to have some of our closest friends living right down the street. Michael, Angela, Kirin, and Amber literally live 5 doors down from us, which is wonderful, especially for the kids who love to play together. In fact, Kirin and Amber spend every Tuesday at our house while Angela goes to work and Ben spends Wednesdays at their house while I go to work. They truly are more like siblings than simply friends. This is both a blessing and a curse! Sharing can be a true problem, but I can honestly say that there are fewer things that make me smile more than on Tuesday morning when Ben awakens to his best friend's cheers. Ben and Kirin literally run around for about 10 minutes simply giggling and basking in the joy of each other's company. It is such a beautiful thing to see...too bad it often comes to a crashing halt minutes later when they both NEED the same toy and one of them (usually Ben) starts screaming and crying "my turn, my turn." Aaahh, the joys of friendship!

I thought I would share a couple pictures of Ben and Kirin. Amber was "reading" a book when I took these pictures and I didn't want to interupt her!

Yay!!! You posted some new pics of Bennie Benjamin! We finally got on the Internet for the first time this week, and what do you know, Ronny's first words were, "check their blog"! The pictures are adorable. Like I told you earlier this week, Ronny is infatuated with Ben's cuteness, since he says there is no other child as cute as Ben (and it is a GIVEN that I think the same!) We're excited to see you guys tomorrow. Ron wants to drink a few with Dean! I know you guys are parents now, but you have to hang for a little bit with us. Tell Mr. Benjamin that Gabby and Wonnie say hi! See you tomorrow night at Champps.

Yes...indeed...I believe Amber was reading...she loves to "read" books. I always prefer they be the hardback cardboard books at least for right now:)
