I have been trying to capture a picture of Joey's smile and can't seem to do it, which is really frustrating because he smiles ALL THE TIME. One would think I could get one little picture of his lopsided grin, but no. Tonight I was helping Ben make Valentines for his class (note the picture below...Ben put the heart stickers all over his face rather than on the cards, oh well) and Joey was cracking himself up. I snapped some pictures and came as close as I could to the smile. It seriously is the sweetest smile...it starts with a twinkle in his eyes, then the eyes widen, nose crinkles and one side of the mouth twitches upwards. When I am really lucky, the smile continues down to his punching arms and jumpy legs and he treats me with a loud "aaaahhh." How I love him.
In addition to the Valentines, this afternoon Ben and I made heart shaped cookies with icing and sprinkles to take to school tomorrow, poor timing on my part since I gave up sweets for Lent. boooo. Ben really doesn't get Valentine's Day. He keeps saying "why?" everytime I try to explain that Valentine's Day is about telling our friends and family we love them. He is such a man!!! How I love him too!
