I love watching Ben and Joey interact. As Joe gets older and more animated, it is so fun to see how he responds to Ben's affection and attention. Ben is (for the most part) very gentle and kind to his baby brother. Joe clearly adores Ben...his entire face lights up when Ben is in the room and he just stares at him, willing Ben to acknowledge him. When Ben says hi to him, Joey starts kicking his feet and kind of shyly shrugs his shoulder and grins. I hope they continue to be such good buddies as they get older.
Ben decided last night to build Joey a fort. The pictures don't do it justice...it was truly a masterpiece. Joey actually really enjoyed playing in it and talked and laughed for quite awhile.
I am leaving tomorrow to attend a conference in Los Angeles for a couple of days. I will return on Wednesday. Though I am quite confident that Dean (and my parents) have everything under control and the boys will be in wonderful hands, I am still very nervous about leaving them. I am going to miss my little babies! I love them so very, very much and am so lucky to be their mommy.
