Joey Update

Joey had his 9 month checkup last week. He continues to grow like a weed and his stats are still almost identical to Ben's at 9 months. Joey weighed in at 22 pounds 5 ounces and was 28.75 inches long. He is in the 50th-75th percentile in both areas. Joey continues to be my sweet little man. He wakes up with a huge smile every morning and babbles greetings...or maybe they are demands to come get him. When I walk into his room he is sitting up with his face pressed up against the slats of the crib eagerly awaiting my entrance. He immediately starts smiling, blowing raspberries and bouncing up and down with joy. How I love him! Some things Joey loves in no certain order...watching Ben do ANYTHING, playing in Ben's room, playing with his weeble wobble treehouse and little people school bus, reading/eating Goodnight Moon and Moo, Baa, Laa, Laa, Laa, rolling around the house, playing under the kitchen table, throwing things, spitting out his food, feeding himself, rolling a ball, etc. He is very easy to entertain right now but has a huge oral fixation. Anything within reach goes into his mouth so I have to keep an eye on him at all times which is a bit of a chore.

Joey is officially a table food/formula eater. He weaned himself about a week ago and though he shunned formula for a couple of days he is now a big fan and gulps down 3 8 ounce cups a day...no more bottles, stricly sippy cups. What a big boy! Joey is a rolly bug and can get himself anywhere he needs to go rolling! He can get on all 4s and crawl about 2 steps before falling onto his belly and rolling the rest of the way to his destination. The funniest thing is that he drags his head on the floor to sit up from his belly and has a rugburn on his forehead!!! Poor thing! The pictures below were taken tonight while Ben, Dean, and I ate dinner and Joey entertained himself under the table. Check out the huge red mark on his forehead!
