Awwww Bless You!

I always talk about what a trainwreck my little Joe Bug is with his crazy dance moves, loud voice, sturdy little body that is in perpetual motion, and boisterous, fun-loving, michievious personality. However, in addition to all those traits, Joey is such a sweet, kind, considerate little boy. Joey always shares his snack with his friends at church or on playdates, he lets kids at the playground join him in whatever activity he is doing, and when we are at the museum or someplace like that and Joe sees a little kid drop a toy or something, he will sprint over to them...not to take away the toy like most "normal" almost 2 year olds....but to pick up the dropped toy and hand it back to the little kid. The latest arsenal in Joe's bag of sweetness is his response when anyone, and I do mean anyone, coughs or sneezes in his presence. He immediately stops what he is doing and says "awwww bless you (dada, bubby, mommy, nana, or whomever)." It doesn't matter if the sneeze came from on tv, a bathroom stall, a person sitting across the library, etc. Joey always says "awwww bless you!" This morning I was lying in bed at 5:15 a.m.--I know, crazy to be sleeping in bed at that hour, right?!? I heard Joey cough and then say to himself "awwww, bless you Joe-Joe." Man do I love that kid.
