A Night Redeemed

Despite the sickies attacking the boys and inhibiting us from participating in all the Halloween festivities last night, we still managed to have a nice day/evening. The boys got (sort of) dressed up in costumes; Joey as Thomas the Train and Ben with a "scary" ghost (though he called it a skeleton) mask. We went to Nana and Bampaw's house where the boys saw Aunt Mal-Mal and each got some candy (which they weren't really even all that interested in....a sure indicator they weren't feeling well!) and new movies; Scooby Doo for Benny Boo and Veggie Tales for Joe Bug. We then stopped by Oma's house for more candy and some lovin from Aunt Barbie and Cousin Casey.
While we were out our friend Toby (aka Scooby Doo) brought over some treat bags for the boys since they couldn't go trick or treating. So sweet!
The boys really enjoyed spending the rest of the night passing out candy to all the trick or treaters who stopped by. We also had a pizza picnic in the family room while the boys watched their new Scooby Doo movie (a hit...well done Nana) and colored scary Halloween pictures. It really was a good night. I wasn't too sad about not being able to trick or treat after all. It's always a treat to spend a night with my favorite boys; all 3 of them.
