All is calm...for now!

It is about 6:00 a.m. on Christmas Eve morning and not a creature is stirring (except mommy). I have a HUGE list of things to accomplish this morning but I wanted to take a minute to blog my prayer for the day. Not sure why, just feel like I should. Dear Lord, I am feeling a bit overwhelmed right now, as I know many people are. Please help me to be calm and to remember that this season is not about creating the PERFECT experience, but about celebrating the birth of a child who saved us all and introduced LOVE into the world and our lives. It is about sharing our LOVE with those all around us and cherishing time spent with friends and family. It is OK if I do not get everything checked off my to-do list, but it is not ok if I don't let everyone I love feel treasured in the coming days. Help me to not be psycho, Lord. Please be with the people in the world today who do not feel the light of your love. Help them to feel peace and comfort. Be with those who are far away from their friends and families, as well. Help those who are sick, both mentally and physically, to find healing and peace in your arms. I pray ALL these things in the name of your son, Jesus Christ. Merry Christmas.
