Wahoo! In all honesty I have mixed feelings about school being out for the summer. I am so happy for my boys because I remember what that feeling of freedom felt like, but I am also a huge Type A personality and crave structure and schedule in my life so the idea of long, easy breezy summer days is a bit stressful for me. Plus, if you know my boys, easy breezy is almost never the way we roll!
Benny's last day of school was yesterday. I can't believe how fast the year flew by. Ben exceeded all of our expectations this school year. His teachers liked him, he made friends easily, and he performed above all of the academic standards. Great job, Ben!
We all attended a program at Ben's school to celebrate his kindergarten graduation. The kids sang a couple songs, recited their favorite poems, and then received special certificates from their teacher. Ben won the "future sportswriter award" because he loves writing sports stories and giving game recaps after Colts and Pacers games. Pretty ironic since he actually does come from a family filled with sports writers!
