Spring Break Nearly Broke Me

We are wrapping up a wonderful but insanely over-booked spring break week; and it was all my fault. I tried to make the week fun for Ben and Joe since I am a spoiled brat and refuse to hit the "usual" hot spots during peak times (i.e. the children's museum, the zoo, monkey joes, etc). I can't handle the crowds that are easily triple their normal size during spring, fall, and winter break. I have learned my lesson the hard way enough times to now successfuly avoid these locations during these times. However, I was feeling guilty that I wasn't going to let the boys enjoy these activities so I tried to fill our schedule with lots of fun play dates. Lots. of. fun. play dates. We literally had plans every single day and even though we thoroughly enjoyed spending time with a few of our favorite people, it was just too much and now we are all exhausted and our well of patience has been completely drained.
Another lesson I had to learn the hard way. Five playdates in 1 week = way, way, way too many.
But amidst the chaot we did have fun...

Joey, Taylor, and Adam were Ben's cheering section while Ang and Lisa played baseball with Ben
