We were happy to have the sickness out of the house and be able to enjoy all the Halloween festivities last night. We kicked off the weekend with some pumpkin painting and carving.

Both boys thought cleaning out the guts was fun...but disgusting.

Up until the morning of Halloween, Joey was undecided as to whether or not he was going to dress up. He thought, at most, he would be a football player, and at worst he would just be himself. A monster. Just kidding :)
Football player won and even though his costume just consisted of a Colts jersey and some eye black, which prompty got rubbed off, he still looked pretty darn cute. He did get annoyed, however, that people kept saying "hey Peyton" when they passed him. "I'm Joe Joe, not Peyton" he would say with a frustrated shake of his head!!

Ben was a SWAT team guy. We had a loooong discussion at Halloween City about what it meant to purchase an appropriate costume. Ben wanted something scary and I insisted that he had to have something not terrifying. I sold him on the SWAT team constume by telling him that "bad guys" would think that costume was SUPER scary. He looked really cool and was happy with his costume in the end.

We trick or treated with Chaplins. Even our little patient, Kirin, was a trooper and trick or treated from her wheelchair.

Joey loved trick or treating. His favorite costume was Santa Claus (Maddie Spear). Ben's favorite was probably the artist (Addy Stevens). I think he appreciated the person wearing the costume more than the actual costume!!
