I am receiving hate email/phone calls/looks and lots of sighs from my mother regarding my lack of blog updating. "A lot is happening, Melanie. Don't you think you should update the blog?" I suggested to her today that I was busy living my life and didn't have time to write about it and she suggested that I should become a better multi-tasker. Touche.
Well live indeed we have this afternoon. It is 65 degrees and rainy outside...my absolute favorite weather. I know, I have issues. The boys and I walked home from school today and decided to bake some cookies. I think perhaps there is no place on earth I would rather be then in my kitchen with the windows opened, rain drip-driping on the roof over my head, pandora on my computer (playing a delightful mixture of Adele, Colbie Calliet, Norah Jones, etc), lights on in the cozy little house to illuminate my sweet little boys as they giggle and make a mess icing and decorating with sprinkles (LOTS of sprinkles in Joeys case) homeade sugar cookies. I love baking, though it doesn't really love me back; I'm not very good. And I love spending time with my boys (when they aren't yelling, fighting, whining, etc). The only thing better would be if Dean were with us but as I've said many times, someone has to work so the boys and I can enjoy this beautiful life of ours.
