Be trained?
Ben learned a new story at sunday school this morning and was anxious to share the details with us during dinner. He was a little shaky, though, and was frustrated at all the stuff he forgot so I got out his bible after bath time and we sat down to find the story. As I suspected, he was trying to tell us about Jesus' resurrection...specifically the rock being moved, revealing the empty tomb (or as Ben described it "like a cave, but not really a cave, but sort of like a cave"). We read this story and then back tracked to to the crucifixion of Christ, which is admittedly heavy stuff for a 5 year old right before bedtime! He was getting pretty upset and specifically was interested in Judas and why he had a mean and sad face in the pictures in his bible!! I tried to explain to him that Judas betrayed Jesus and Ben stopped and said "What does that mean? Does that mean Judas made Jesus get run over by a train?" It took me a minute, but I finally realized he must have thought I said something like "be trained" instead of "betrayed." so funny.
