Cousins

We got to spend a little bit of time with Brookie and Landon today and to say the boys were thrilled would be an understatement. Sissy brought the kids to Ben's basketball game and Benny literally got off the bench and came over to pick Brookie up and give her a huge hug and kiss. Brookie cheered for bubby (as Brookie calls Ben) and laughed when he scored a basket!

Brookie definitely loves her bubby, Benny, but the love fest between Brooke and Joey is seriously out of control. Brookie lights up when Joey is near her and squeals for her "Joe Joe." I don't think she ever stopped smiling when Joey was by her side. She is for sure Joe's biggest fan. The love is definitely mutual. Joey is warming up to Landon but he mostly just wants to be with Brookie and it has taken several weeks for us to even convince Joe to include Landon in his prayers at night...and it still is usually (God bless mommy, daddy, Benny, Joe Joe, and Brookie.....aaannndddd baby landon (said in a much quieter voice with a resigned shrug of his shoulders).

After the basketball game we all went to Chickfila for lunch along with Nana, Bampaw, Uncle Craig, and Abby. It was an adventure. We cracked up watching Brookie try to keep up with Joey and Ben in the play area.

Brookie and Landon are spending the night at Nana and Bampaws tonight so we couldn't resist going over there and spending some more time with them. Brookie and Joe ran around like crazy little banshees, chasing each other from room to room and falling down a lot, making each other laugh.

Ben spent most of his time playing Angry Birds on Uncle Craig's IPAD and holding Landon. He is so sweet with Landon and loves taking care of him.

I would give anything to have Brooke and Landon live closer. I miss them so much and being with them just reminds me of that even more.
