A Much Needed Getaway -- Day Three

Another beautiful sunny morning greeted us for day three of our trip.  We enjoyed a quiet morning in the condo before heading down to the beach around 9 a.m.  We made some sandcastles and played in the surf for a bit before heading to the pool for some more keepaway and shuffleboard.

Following lunch back up at the condo we decided to take a break from the beach and pool and go on an adventure.  We traveled south to Naples and visited Tin City, which is a quaint little shopping area.  We explored and window shopped and had ice cream at an awesome little old-fashioned shop.  Dean and I reminisced about the last time we had ice cream at that very location; about 9 years prior when we were joined by Dean's mom and dad during a vacation trip to SW Florida.

We went for a quick swim and spent a few minutes on the beach before heading out to dinner.  This restaurant, Yucatan on Time Square in Ft. Myers, was a little bit better then last night's in terms of food but the service was horrendous and soured everyones moods.

Still, a bad meal in paradise is still better than a good meal at home...especially considering I didn't have to prepare it!
